Tenancy Reform Following the announcement in April 2019 of the Government’s intention to consult on new legislation to abolish Section 21 evictions, the Government has today launched for consultation ‘A New Deal for Renting: resetting the balance of rights and responsibilities between landlords and tenants’. This consultation is the first step in a journey that will deliver on the Government’s commitment to ensure tenants have the security they need to plan for the future while ensuring landlords have the confidence to continue investing in the private rental market.
