The Renting Homes (Wales) Act 2016 is finally coming into force on the 15 July 2022. This is the most significant piece of housing legislation ever passed by the Welsh Government as it sweeps away the assured shorthold tenancy and replaces most agreements with new “occupation contracts”. Everything you knew about setting up  tenancies changes as does all the routes to possession.
