Landlord’s Legionella requirements

The Approved Code of Practice L8 “Legionnaires’ disease: the control of legionella bacteria in water systems” was published in 2013 by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) and it has not been changed since. That update led to consultants mistakenly claiming that the legislation had changed imposing new requirements on landlords to test residential properties for legionella and to be given a certificate.
