Letting agents in both England and Wales now face expanded compliance responsibilities under new Office of Financial Sanctions Implementation (OFSI) regulations. As of May 14, all letting agents are officially classified as "relevant firms," meaning they are now subject to mandatory financial sanctions reporting duties.

Failure to comply with these obligations can result in serious consequences, including fines or imprisonment.
