Rent Repayment Orders – Update

In the most recent news article concerning Rent Repayment Orders (RRO) we considered the case of Rakusen v Jepsen where the tenant brought an RRO against Mr Rakusen, a superior landlord. At the Upper Tribunal, they found for the tenant and ordered an RRO in the amount of £26,000 against Mr Rakusen who appealed the judgement. Ordinarily there is a significant delay before we get the Court of Appeal decision.
