Sheriff Officers in Scotland
If your tenants have not left when the possession order expires you will need to instruct the Sheriff Officers to come and evict them. You are not permitted to evict them yourself. You should serve on your tenants a ‘Form of Charge for Removing’, this must be served by a Sheriff Officer. This notice will give the tenants 14 days notice after which the Sheriff Officers will give no less than 48 hours notice of the time and date they are attending to repossess the property.
